THE CLAW!!

Here's a glimpse of the claw that the doctor took out of dad's hip. The cables were c ut but some of the edges are very rough and sharp. It's gotta feel better once he heals!

WHAT'S DAD UP TO???

Dad built this homemade solor panel from scratch. He got the directions online but they were so hard to understand that he figured it out himself. He is now working on his second one. This is mounted on our roof.Someone from church wants him to do a class on how to make them.

Here he is wiring the solor panels along the house and it goes into the basement and is connected to a 12 volt battery which can then be converted to a 110.

We had a terrific wind storm that tore the plastic on the cold frame. Dad is on top of a 15 ft ladder trying to repair it. Hopefully it'll hold if we get anymore high winds!

Things are starting to fade but I just love the color of this "Burning Bush"! Hopefully our hedge along the raod will fill in and get beautiful like this one.

POPPYS

These beautiful flowers are growing all over where they AREN'T supposed to be. We have pulled up dozens of them. If anyone wants seeds, I can give you some.....hopefully I won't get in trouble sending poppy seeds through the mail! They will reseed themselves so in a year or two, you''ll have poppys everywhere close by. But they are very showy.

PLANT SALE

Here I am at Farmer's Market freezing! Amazing that some people were walking around in halter tops and shorts. I had on a sweatshirt, vest and coat and was still cold. The wind blowing off of the river is cold but later we'll like that. We have been doing really well selling dad's plants.

TERRIFIC WIND STORM

Sorry this photo didn't turn out very good of our duplex roof. You can kind of see where it has torn loose. We are having the entire roof redone. It wasn't done right in the first place and the contractor told us this would happen again with high winds. There are missing pieces in the back also.

TAXED ENOUGH!!!

TEA PARTY

We went to a tea party here in towm last night. It was spear headed by a gal in our ward. It was pretty interesting.

Christine & Ildar's visit

I think these pictures turned out really good of Christine's family with dad (grandpa) It gave us a chance to get to know them better. Wish they could have stayed longer but this was nice to have them.

Thanksgiving

We are so blessed with family and health and living in a free country.

Fertile Greenhouse!

We have three big clumps of these mushrooms growing in the greenhouse. They are really cool looking. This third one is dried from last year so I am going to collect these after they all dry and spray shellac or something on them and make yard decorations out of them. I looked them up on the Internet and they are called Mushrooms with a Bite. I guess you can eat them but they are really bitter. It also said they are rather rare. We are still eating brocolli, cabbage and lettuce out of the cold frame ( different from the greenhouse). As you can see we still have lettuce, etc. in the greenhouse.
